We are getting ready to return to the studio!
It has been such a long time but we are excited to let you know that from mid June we hope to return to the studio. This will, of course, depend on the current situation and government guidelines.
Things will be a bit different. We have revamped the studio to offer a maximum of 4 places to meet social distancing requirements. Each student will have their own work station with lots of space to sew.
To ensure everyone’s safety, we would ask that you are at least two weeks after your second vaccination with a negative lateral flow test undertaken the morning of the workshop. For now, you will be required to wear a face covering. We will continually access the situation and what safety measures are required.
Our 2 hour Zoom sessions have kept us going and will be a permanent part of our programme with Jane. Our thanks to everyone who has attended the online sessions. They have been great fun, we have stitched lots of fabulous garments and made new sewing friends across the country from the south coast to the wilds of Scotland!
All aspects of dressmaking and pattern cutting are covered by a sewing bee workshop
Our Sewing Bee workshops are a great way to make stylish clothes that fit and make new friends with a shared passion for sewing.
We can show you how to select the correct pattern size and alter your pattern to get a great fit
You could even try making your own patterns from your body measurements.
It’s entirely up to you!
The Swing Bee groups at the studio are currently kept to a maximum of 4 students. This group size allows us to meet social distancing requirements within the studio. It will still be a fun and social sewing session, but individual enough to make sure that everyone gets the guidance they need.
This is not a course, you just book and pay for the dates that suit you.
We run the Sewing Bee on various weekdays, evenings and Saturdays, which can be booked currently as 2 hour sessions online or 6 hour sessions at the studio.
