The course will include:
Handling tricky fabrics like cotton lawn and silk
Cutting out and pattern matching
Choosing an interfacing to compliment your fabric choice
Setting up your sewing machine and overlocker (if you are using one) for perfect stitching
Seam and neatening options including French seams
Making and adding beautiful piping for that trendy traditional look
Pressing for a professional finish
Conquer curved seams and collars
Buttonholes including bound for a vintage look
The non-roll elastic casing
And lots more techniques and top tips along the way.
The course fee includes swatches of professional interfacings we have in stock to purchase.
You will need to purchase the Closet Core Carolyn pyjama pattern and fabric and cut out your pyjamas for the first session.
